Mission
The mission of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is to promote personal growth and leadership development through family and consumer sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader, members develop skills for life through --
- character development,
- creative and critical thinking,
- interpersonal communication,
- practical knowledge, and
- vocational preparation.

- To provide opportunities for personal development and preparation for

home and community.

understanding between youth and adults.

for making decisions and for assuming responsibilities.

for the multiple roles of men and women in today's society.

family and consumer sciences and related occupations.

Goals 2009-2010
- To increase chapter membership by 5 members per chapter using promotional incentives.
- To increase NC FCCLA interaction through networking between chapters statewide
- NC FCCLA Facebook and blog
- To recruit State Officer candidates from each district
- To increase student participation in national Program
