The North Carolina Association honors FCCLA
chapters for
their accomplishments
in membership**
Membership trophies, in the categories listed below, are presented
to those chapters in attendance at the annual State Leadership & Recognition
Conference. The awards are based on affiliations received at national
headquarters postmarked by February 15. No application from the chapter
is necessary because the awards are based on information provided by
the national headquarters and on the chapter's state conference registration.
- New Chapter Award - recognizes new chapters and those
affiliating for the first time in three or more years. (certificate)
- Membership By 10 Award – recognizes chapters
who have 10, 20, 30, or 40 members. (certificate)
- 5+ Chapter - recognizes chapters increasing by 5
or more members over the previous year’s affiliation. (certificate)
- 10+ Chapter – recognizes chapters increasing
by 10 or more members over the previous year’s affiliation. (certificate)
- 20+ Chapter - recognizes chapters increasing by 20
or more members over the previous year's affiliation. (certificate)
- Middle Level Milestone - recognizes middle level
chapters who participate in the Middle Level Affiliation option through
national FCCLA, affiliating all FACS students as FCCLA members. (certificate)
- Membership Milestone 50, 100, 150, 200, etc. - recognizes
chapters reaching a significant "milestone" in the number of
chapter members; awards are set in increments of fifty, beginning at
fifty members. (certificate)
- Largest Chapter in the State - recognizes the chapter
with the greatest number of affiliated members. (trophy)
**NOTE: Awards are presented at State Leadership & Recognition
Conference to those chapters in attendance that met the February 15 affiliation
postmark deadline. Awards will not be mailed to chapters not in attendance
at the conference.
Outstanding School Administrator Award^
The Outstanding School Administrator Award recognizes local
school administrators who consistently promote and support the FCCLA programs
in their schools or school divisions. Nominations are made by FCCLA chapters
and submitted to the state association for evaluation. The nomination form
is found as a download on this page.
Distinguished Service Award^
The Distinguished Service Award is presented to individuals
who have given significant support to the FCCLA program in a local chapter.
The chapter must submit the nomination form, found as a download on this page,
to the state association. The award will be given by the state, based on the
chapter's recommendation.
Honorary Membership Award^
Honorary Membership Award is given to those who have made
significant contributions to the growth and development of the FCCLA organization
at the state level.
^All Award Applications are due postmarked on or before January
15 th to the State Adviser.

FCCLA FACS Teacher Scholarship
This scholarship is offered annually to encourage outstanding affiliated
NC FCCLA members to pursue a degree in FACS Education. One $500 scholarship
will be awarded annually. Each recipient will be eligible for up to a total
of $2000 over a four-year period. The student must maintain a 2.0 GPA to
keep the scholarship for the four-year period. Download

FCCLA Pat Werth Scholarship
This scholarship is offered annually to encourage outstanding affiliated
NC FCCLA members to pursue a degree in a FACS related field. This scholarship
is set up in the memory of Dr. Pat Werth, former State Adviser. One $1000
scholarship will be awarded annually to be paid for the student at the end
of the first year in college. The student must maintain a 2.0 GPA to keep
the scholarship for the one year period.
